Effective and engaging employee communication is expected to have a great impact on the job of the chief communications officer over the next few years, according to the participants included in the latest survey of top corporate communications executives by Spencer Stuart and Weber Shandwick. The new report explores how CCOs expect their responsibilities to evolve over time in an increasingly digitalized and media-fragmented world.
The majority of those surveyed — more than 70% — rank digital communication as their top priority for the coming months, while 90% of North American CCOs and 70% of CCOs based in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, say that employee communications is a top responsibility.
