Nirvan has a deep background in operational leadership, project delivery and development and commercial functions. His sector experience encompasses nuclear; metallurgy; emissions; energy; infrastructure services and process industries. Global industrial and infrastructure expert
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Nirvan spent 10 years at SNC-Lavalin, a multinational company providing engineering, procurement, and construction services in various industries including mining and metallurgy, oil and gas, environment and water, infrastructure, and clean power. Nirvan has held numerous leadership roles at SNC-Lavalin, advising clients internationally on developing their projects and culminating as vice president of manufacturing and materials management for its nuclear division, with full top- and bottom-line responsibility.
- Earlier, he advised energy and commodity trading clients as part of Deloitte & Touche’s Global Energy Markets consulting team. Clients ranged from utilities to financial institutions to specialty chemicals producers.
- Nirvan began his career as a nuclear systems engineer with Ontario Power Generation. He was awarded the Chief Nuclear Officer Award during his tenure there.
Nirvan earned his M.B.A. from York University’s Schulich School of Business, and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in biochemistry and chemical engineering from the University of Ottawa. He is fluent in English and French, and conversant in Japanese.
