Steve Rivard leads the firm’s Supply Chain and Operations Officer Practice and is a member of the Industrial Practice. He brings a broad range of functional and general management experience to his client work, serving private equity backed, public and private companies across a wide variety of sectors including commodity and specialty chemicals, engineered products, medical products, distribution and industrial services. In addition to significant work recruiting COO’s, chief integrated supply chain officers and CPO’s, Steve also possesses expertise in placing operationally oriented CEOs and division presidents.
Broad industrial experience
- During his tenure with the firm, Steve has recruited general management and functional executives for both public and private equity-backed companies. His industrial clients include major multinationals as well as a wide range of mid- and micro-cap organizations.
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, he was a principal with another leading international executive search and management consulting firm, where he served as the U.S. leader of the automotive and industrial practice.
- Before entering the search profession, Steve was with Eaton Corporation, where he held several positions of increasing responsibility in the company's automotive components group.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics and management from Albion College and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
