Seema Threja Kathuria is a trusted adviser to boards, CEOs and C-suite executives. Seema grounds her advisory work in a thorough understanding of the company’s context and culture and the external factors impacting the business. A member of Spencer Stuart’s Board and CEO, Consumer and Private Equity practices, Seema brings to her client work more than 15 years’ experience advising a wide range of companies on CEO search and succession, board director search, board performance and C-suite search and succession.

- Seema spent 18 years at another global executive search firm, where she was a member of the consumer, board and CEO advisory practices. She also led the consumer private equity practice across the Americas. She advised on more than 350 assignments, working with Fortune 200, private equity–backed and family and privately held companies.
- Earlier in her career, Seema worked for a boutique consulting firm, advising private equity, consumer, hospitality and leisure, and pharmaceutical clients on a variety of strategic and operational issues.
- Seema began her career in marketing, sales and strategy roles at Ford Motor Company and Pfizer.
Seema holds a B.A. in political science and economics from Purdue University and an M.B.A. in finance and strategy from the University of Chicago. She also serves as a board member for Skills for Chicagoland’s Future and belongs to the Economic Club of Chicago.
