Ralf Landmann is a consultant in Spencer Stuart's global CEO Succession and Boards Practice and a member of the firm's global Industrial Practice. He was previously managing partner of the firm in Germany and member of the EMEA Core-Leadership Team.
With more than 30 years of industry and consulting experience, he has assisted boards and CEOs of public, private and venture-backed market leaders around the world in more than 250 CEO, board and other top management searches and succession assignments.
Ralf is a recognised market leader and frequent speaker on leadership trends in the automotive and mobility sectors, as well as general leadership development and succession planning. He is the author of several studies on effective leadership and CEO succession.
Management consulting and industry leadership expertise
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Ralf was a senior partner with Roland Berger, serving as managing director of the strategy consultancy’s Frankfurt office. He was responsible for the firm’s global activities in automotive strategy, sales and marketing. He also served as the global key-client manager for one of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers.
- Ralf advised global automotive OEMs and suppliers as well as clients in wholesale/retail, car financing, and fleet and mobility services. He supported clients in Europe, the Americas, China and the Middle East in developing and implementing their corporate and operational strategies and improving their performance.
- Previously, Ralf was the head of Deloitte’s European automotive practice and the leader of the Germany automotive practice of Arthur D. Little. Before working in management consulting, Ralf began his career with roles in corporate development at Daimler-Benz and strategic planning at Schott Glass.
Ralf earned an M.B.A. from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He is an alumnus of the Columbia University Executive Management Program and received scholarships from the American Field Service. He is fluent in German and English.
