Paolo Turchetti is a member of the Spencer Stuart’s Financial Services Practice. Paolo has more than 15 years experience working for major global financial institutions in Europe and the United States, with deep expertise in regulation, risk management, finance, commercial banking, and banking and insurance operations. Paolo has direct knowledge of key supervisors, having supported the execution of important cross-country regulatory exercises. Paolo advises clients across several geographies, offering a broad range of services including executive search, leadership advisory and corporate governance.
Strong expertise in financial service
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Paolo was with Blackrock as Head of Italy coverage for the Financial Market Advisory group. In that role, he built trusted relationships with top executives of major European financial institutions, and he led transformation programs aimed at developing and deploying innovative risk management and planning infrastructures that leveraged advanced analytics and big data, supporting risk management, financial and business decisions.
- Earlier, Paolo spent 12 years with McKinsey as an active member of the firm’s strategy practice and as leader of its Southern European risk practice. During that time, Paolo developed his expertise in regulatory and risk topics, while supporting key banking supervisors and regulators. Paolo coordinated and implemented large transformation programs involving the design and implementation of new organizational setups, the development and execution of business plans, and the evolution of risk and finance infrastructures to match evolving regulatory and business requirements.
Paolo earned his Master of Science in theoretical physics at the Sapienza University of Rome, and he received his MBA from the London Business School. He is an Italian native speaker and fluent in English.
