Based in Chicago, Chris DeRose is a member of Spencer Stuart’s Leadership Advisory Services and has 25 years of experience as a strategic leadership consultant. Chris has helped business leaders across a range of industries improve the growth and profitability of their organizations and develop the next generation of leadership. He has designed and led leadership development and assessment programs for clients that have been instrumental in identifying next-generation talent and CEO succession candidates. Chris has consulted with some of the largest Fortune 500 firms, while also assisting fast-growth, entrepreneurial companies and large nonprofit and government organizations.

- Before joining Spencer Stuart, Chris was a partner with another consulting firm specializing in development and delivery of CEO-driven, large-scale transformation, primarily working with Fortune 500 clients.
- Chris is co-author of Judgment on the Frontline (2012, Penguin Portfolio) and has authored or co-authored numerous articles, development handbooks and book chapters for a range of publications on leadership and human capital topics.
- Chris has lived in Japan and worked with C-suite leaders throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, Thailand, Japan, and China.
Chris previously taught leadership development courses in executive education at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and graduate students in the Masters of Human Resources program at the University of Connecticut. He earned his BA of Political Science and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
