Catherine Bright is a member of the firm’s CEO & Boards practice where she advises industrial companies and private equity firms on chief executive officer succession as well as top management and board appointments. She previously led the Private Equity Practice in EMEA from 2009 to 2018. Catherine is also the firm’s Global Transformation Leader and a member of the Spencer Stuart Global Leadership Team.
Business and leadership experience
- Catherine brings 16 years of international experience from ICI and Kimberly-Clark, including senior roles in both corporate headquarter and operating businesses.
- Catherine spent eight years with ICI, initially as the group strategic planner supporting the major transition from commodity to specialty chemicals. She moved into the operating businesses as finance director of the fragrance division of Quest International and progressed to become vice president of personal care at Uniqema and a member of the executive management team.
- Catherine’s early career was with Kimberly-Clark in the US and Europe. She was a project engineer during the global expansion program of the infant care brands, before moving into production management and then product development.
Catherine earned an MBA from INSEAD and a first-class honours degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Leeds University. She also is a chartered engineer.
